EXTRA TRANSPLANT CLASSES $35-$50
-students that have extra plants to transplant may schedule an additional class to transplant their remaining plants if they choose not to transplant them themselves. 6 plants per transplant class will be transplanted. (some materials included)

GARDEN BED TRANSPLANT $100 and up (contact for more details)
With this option, parent must purchase their own garden bed and soil and put the actual Bed together. Kids Gardening Center will teach and assist in filling the soil in the bed, prepping the bed and transplanting the plants into your garden bed. This is done at the students home or designated area for the Garden Bed.

PLANTING CLASS- This planting class is a hands on class. Students will do most things on their own including choosing seeds, filling soil in containers, planting seeds, watering, feeding, labeling and transporting seedlings home to care for until transplant time. Learning how to successfully plant a vegetable plant from seed has its challenges, but after this class your child can show you what they have learned and how a few diligent steps can result in green life on your front or back patio. In this class students will learn how to grow different types of vegetables, which vegetables to grow during which season and how to successfully care for, feed, prevent pest and weather from destroying it and how to harvest their plant at maturity. The differences between indeterminate and determinate plants will be discussed in detail. Why some seeds never germinate or plants never bear fruit will be highlighted. The difference between caring for a seed waiting to germinate, a seedling and a plant will be shown in detail.

TRANSPLANT CLASS- Transplanting a delicate seedling can have its own difficulties if not preformed correctly. In our, also hands-on transplanting class, students will have the opportunity to transplant half or more of their successfully germinated seedlings with the guidance of a skilled Gardner at their fingertips. This uniques class will teach students how to split roots, transplant into containers and how to avoid transplant shock. In addition, great garden techniques will be discussed like how to give your plant more calcium without buying it off the shelf or how to water without over watering or under watering (which can ultimately destroy the root system). Figuring out what type and size of container to plant in can also be challenging when planting a tiny seedling that will emerge one day into a big beautiful bunch of leaves and veggies. All of these things and much much more will be shown, discussed and worked by hand in our Kids Gardening Center Transplant Class.
