In addition, experienced professionals will speak with our students about their future career curiosities, in a Q & A setting. A portion of this class will review basic life skills, challenges and simple solutions. We will also cover budgeting and a touch of the Real Estate World. The most intriguing part of this class is configuring HS & MS Homeschoolers / College Concurrent & Duel Enrollment agendas for each student to use as a starting point. When they begin their new journey or even if they have already started, navigation and explanation, with some tips on doubling up on HS & College credits will be priceless . And of course, students will have one Gardening experience! If your child is in HS and is taking Career Explorations, they will receive 8+ hours a month credit in this class, depending on their participation. Certain days (not all) students will be required to stay after school for group participation and volunteering. This time will never go over 1 hour unless a trip is preplanned
*Fun Fact- (A former Ca State Superintendent launched a financial literacy awareness campaign because he believed that young people need to be supervisors of their own future money and financial resources).

Students will receive a journal to keep their class notes, thoughts and future real estate plans in order.. In addition students will also engage in one on one and group roll play. Topics will include, What is Real Estate, Home Buying, Investing, Real Estate Entrepreneurs & Moguls, Realtors vs. FSBO, Generational Wealth & More. Keeping this heavy subject light and fun, but full of imagination of what the future could be is key in keeping young minds interested in exploring the world of Real Estate!

GARDEN BED TRANSPLANT $100 and up (contact for more details) With this option, parent must purchase their own garden bed and soil and put the actual Bed together. This is done at the students home or designated area for the Garden Bed.
PLANTING CLASS- This planting class is a hands on class. Students will do most things on their own including choosing seeds, filling soil in containers, planting seeds, watering, feeding, labeling and transporting seedlings home to care for until transplant time. Learning how to successfully plant a vegetable plant from seed has its challenges, but after this class your child can show you what they have learned and how a few diligent steps can result in green life on your front or back patio. In this class students will learn how to grow different types of vegetables, which vegetables to grow during which season and how to successfully care for, feed, prevent pest and weather from destroying it and how to harvest their plant at maturity. The differences between indeterminate and determinate plants will be discussed in detail. Why some seeds never germinate or plants never bear fruit will be highlighted. The difference between caring for a seed waiting to germinate, a seedling and a plant will be shown in detail.
TRANSPLANT CLASS- Transplanting a delicate seedling can have its own difficulties if not preformed correctly. In our, also hands-on transplanting class, students will have the opportunity to transplant half or more of their successfully germinated seedlings with the guidance of a skilled Gardner at their fingertips. This uniques class will teach students how to split roots, transplant into containers and how to avoid transplant shock. In addition, great garden techniques will be discussed like how to give your plant more calcium without buying it off the shelf or how to water without over watering or under watering (which can ultimately destroy the root system). Figuring out what type and size of container to plant in can also be challenging when planting a tiny seedling that will emerge one day into a big beautiful bunch of leaves and veggies. All of these things and much much more will be shown, discussed and worked by hand in our Kids Gardening Center Transplant Class.
